Ben brings 25 years of entrepreneurial and transactional experience founding, operating, selling, and advising companies. In advising fellow entrepreneurs, he is able to call upon experience starting and investing in platforms in energy services, telecommunications, structured finance, green energy, biomaterials, specialty chemicals, bulk chemical terminals, consumer packaged goods, personal care, fashion tech, VR/AR, consumer lending, specialty crops, and agriculture/viticulture. He has personal experience forming companies in a range of jurisdictions and structuring investments from SAFE notes to public exits and everything in between. His capital contacts and negotiating experience span from family offices to private equity funds, private credit to traditional lenders.
Ben is an honors graduate of Baylor University, from which he holds a BBA, M.S.Economics, and J.D. He is also a graduate of Birthing of Giants, a 3-year program for global entrepreneurs offered by the Entrepreneur’s Organization and M.I.T. He serves on Baylor’s Leadership Council, Hankamer School of Business Advisory Board, and judge of Baylor Law’s The Closer, a nationally-recognized transactional law competition. He recently completed serving as the 2017-2019 General Chairman of the PGA Tour’s Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin Country Club. He has spoken on entrepreneurship to a range of audiences, from national venture competitions to undergraduates and graduate Venture Fellows at The University of Texas at Austin, Baylor, and others. He holds FINRA Series 62 and 63 licenses and is a co-founder and Managing Director of CapStream Group.
