Ward & Berry PLLC, a D.C. boutique law firm with deep experience serving government contractors and technology companies, has expanded its services to include launching an Austin, Texas office to capitalize on Austin becoming the intersection of technological innovation and government procurement. Alan Apple, Ben Davis, and Ali Gallagher have joined the Ward & Berry team in Austin to provide exceptional legal services to both traditional and non-traditional government contractors in the areas of technology, regulatory, corporate finance, and government contracting.
Austin has long been a technology hotbed, but in recent years has also become the epicenter of federal efforts to reshape public procurement and harness innovative technologies for government programs. That effort includes the U.S. Army’s creation of Army Futures Command, a four-star command headquartered in Austin designed to modernize the Army through the identification of novel technologies and their application to the Army’s priorities. Ward & Berry will leverage its well-established relationships with the defense and intelligence communities, university systems, and technology incubators to advance those efforts and to help pursue broad commercialization opportunities for its clients.
“Austin sits at the crossroads of technological innovation and government contracting. Its defense, IT, biotech, and medical industries are large and quickly expanding. We are used to doing this work in D.C., but it is exciting to be on the ground in Austin assisting innovators in their efforts to rapidly bring solutions to the federal government.”
– Daniel Ward, Co-Founder of Ward & Berry PLLC
“We also see great opportunities to assist government contractors in expanding their product and service offerings to the commercial sector. The team we have in Austin is excellently positioned to represent clients in these matters and build on Ward & Berry’s reputation as creative and tenacious problem solvers who value long-term client relationships.”
– Ryan Berry, Co-Founder of Ward & Berry PLLC
